This past Saturday, July 26th, the team at TRS Automotive had the honor of sponsoring and participating in the 32nd Annual European Classic Car Meet (ECCM), hosted by the Vintage Sports Car Club of Calgary. Set against the charming backdrop of Stanley Park, the event brought together a stunning collection of European classics—even with the cloudy and cool forecast threatening to put a damper on things.
Despite a less-than-ideal weather report, the skies held out. Not a drop of rain touched the show field, and we couldn’t be more grateful. Enthusiasts from all over came out in droves, with hundreds of visitors walking the field, admiring the craftsmanship and character of European automobiles spanning decades.
The official count is still being tallied, but we heard from the event photographer that he captured images of around 180 cars. That’s not quite a record, but considering the looming threat of rain, it was an impressive turnout and a real testament to the passion of Calgary’s car community.
As TRS Automotive, we were thrilled to showcase a few of our own Land Rover builds. Specializing in Land Rover repairs and restorations, it was a proud moment to see some of our trucks on display among so many iconic marques from across Europe. From vintage roadsters to timeless coupes and rugged off-roaders, the ECCM had something for every enthusiast.
To all who came by, chatted with us, and admired our vehicles—thank you. Events like this remind us why we do what we do. The shared love of automotive heritage, the stories behind every car, and the community that forms around them—it’s something truly special.
